Facilities of the User Lab
The Web Ergonomics Lab has a specially equipped usability lab designed for running user evaluations in a comfortable environment. The room is configured with state-of-the-art equipment, including:
- High Specification PC and Monitor
- Our computing equipment runs both Windows and Linux operating systems, supporting all the major Web browsers to ensure accurate results.
- Integrated Tobii Eye Tracker
- Our Tobii Eye Tracker is a completely non-intrusive method of capturing users’ eye movements and determining which areas of a Web page users are looking at.
- High Resolution Audio and Video Recording Equipment
- Our camera and audio equipment captures how users behave and what they say as they complete tasks. Cameras recording the scene and keyboard allow us to gain an overall picture of body language and the test environment.
- Camtasia Real-Time Screen-Recording Software
- With Camtasia Studio’s flexible recording options, you can choose to capture full screen, window or regions of a Web page.
- Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) System
- Galvanic Skin Response is a method of measuring a user’s relative stress levels as they interact with Web content. Combined with eye tracking, this can prove a valuable tool in identifying what hinders users the most when completing tasks on a Website.
