In some projects, Semantic Web technologies are used to improve the accessibility of Web pages. As part of these projects, a number of ontologies have been developed, that can be used for modelling and defining Web resources.
The SADIe Upper Ontology aims to describe the roles that elements play within a Website. This ontology is used to classify CSS elements that the page uses. For example identifying the CSS element that renders menu elements and annotating it as such using the taxonomy.
The Web Authoring for Accessibility Ontology aims to describe the roles that elements play within a Website. This ontology is used to classify CSS elements that the page uses. For example identifying the CSS element that renders menu elements and annotating it as such using the taxonomy.
This ontology provides the definition of the taxonomy to classify widgets. It allows different types of widgets to be uniquely identified and related. Thus, classification to the widget can be employed.
