Conference Organisation Committees

The Web Ergonomics Lab have been involved in the organisation of the following Workshops, Conferences, and Panel Sessions. Some events have been one-year activities whilst for some conferences, the lab has a continuing involvement in the organisation and development of the conference series.

International Cross-Disciplinary Conference on Web Accessibility (W4A)

The Web Ergonomics Lab members Simon Harper and Yeliz Yesilada are the founders of The International Cross-Disciplinary Conference on Web Accessibility (W4A). The W4A is an annual conference that runs alongside The World Wide Web Conference (WWW). The W4A focuses on accessibility by encouraging participation from many disciplines including academia, commerce and industry.

Eighteenth ACM Conference on Hypertext and Hypermedia (HT 07)

The Web Ergonomics Lab is happy to host the Eighteenth ACM Conference on Hypertext and Hypermedia (HT 07). Our group plays an important role in the overall organisation of the conference; Simon Harper is the general chair; Yeliz Yesilada is the registration chair; Darren Lunn is the media chair and Eleni Michailidou is the publicity chair. Simon Harper is also a member of the Hypertext Conference Steering Committee which seeks to guide and advise future conference organisers.

Tenth International ACM SIGACCESS Conference on Computers and Accessibility (ASSETS 08)

The Web Ergonomics Lab members play an important role in the conference organisation with Simon Harper as the general chair, Yeliz Yesilada as the registration chair and Darren Lunn as the media chair of the conference.

Twenty-First ACM Conference on Hypertext and Hypermedia (HT 2010)

The Web Ergonomics Lab played a role in organising a Panel Session at HT2010 to commemorate 65 years since the publication of As We May Think. The panel session, organised and moderated by Darren Lunn gathered international Hpertext Experts to discuss past visions of hypertext systems and how they still continue to influence modern computing, society, and the arts.
